Therapy Approach
In therapy you’ll practice process-based and somatic techniques for whole-body learning and embodied change. Through guided experiential exercises from breath-work to movement, present moment awareness, reflection and relational skill-building, we’ll help you find trusted pathways for [re]connecting whenever you feel uprooted by a process of change.
I encourage a brief call to ask me any questions you might have and to get a sense of what feels right for your next step towards finding support.
“I’m committed to therapy that honors all we bring in the room. As someone Black & afro-indigenous who loves nature, spirituality and science , I offer therapy that uplifts equifiniality [many paths to one point] and our diverse practices as people of the global majority”.

More About “Rooted Halo”
Like all things “Rooted Halo” is multifaceted and interconnected. The initials of Ayla’s maternal grandmother (“RH”) represent values of relationship, connection and the Ghanaian concept of Sankofa (honoring past, present & future). The name also signifies “paradox” as a natural part of healing and life. With reverence, Rooted Halo Therapy uplifts [often] underappreciated cultural practices as effective evidence-based care.
